Welcome To Our Playschool

Country Kids is nestled at the foot of the Middagkrans mountain in the little village of Franschhoek.

We offer structure, stimulation and care as we help children from 18 months in their mental, physical and emotional development. Finding the right balance of fun and learning, we strive to create a safe space where the children will feel at home.

Country Kids strives to follow a holistic approach to teaching and child support. Learning is facilitated through activities and play, with the aim of emotional, physical and psychological development.

We believe that rules and boundaries create a safe environment where the children can embrace childhood freedom. Good manners, respect and love are qualities that we welcome as a school. With our Christian ethos and foundation we would like to build on a community that respects and loves one another. Our aim is that every child who enters Country Kids will learn, have fun and become confident in who they are. And when they leave, they would have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to enter Primary School.

Ollie Elephant

18 Months – 2 Years

Developing a curious mind through explorative play is very important to us. In the Ollie Elephant class children learn colours, shapes and sounds. We learn through play. We bake, build, dig, search and also create all sorts of master pieces in our art class!

2- 3 Years

3 – 4 Years

At this age we focus on the development of fine and gross motor skills, social skills and cognitive development. We take a holistic approach in stimulating these young minds. We learn through play and encourage creativity. The aim is not to pressure any child, but to equip them with the right tools for optimal development.

4 – 5 Years

This is where our little geniuses start to prepare for Grade R! We focus on the foundational skills and knowledge that will prepare them for primary school. A good general knowledge and well developed social skills are important to us. We aim to equip them with all the tools, skills and knowledge to enter Grade R with confidence.
